Time
September 9 at 8:30am – September 10 at 4:00pm
Location Josephine Butler Parks Center

Washington, DC

The Internet Identity Workshop has been held semi-annually in California since the Fall of 2005. The 10th IIW was held this past May and had the largest attendance thus far. There have been many requests to have an IIW on the East coast, and now the Open Identity for Open Government Initiative and the recently released National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace is providing a timely incentives to have one in Washingt…on.

IIWs focus is on “user-centric identity”, addressing the technical and adoption challenge of how people can manage their own identity across the range of websites, services, companies, government agencies and organizations with which they interact. IIW-East will be about a whole range of issues including the government adoption of open identity technologies for use by government websites.
